Private Beach Entrance for AMANDUNA
The Comporta Dunes Resort is a unique project on the Iberian Peninsula, representing a total investment of 92 million Euros with the project being financed by private funds and QREN.
Comporta Dunes will commence with an AMAN Resort which will include a Spa and 36 Villas which will be operated by the prestigious international resort group ÀMANRESORTs.
The Comporta Dunes 18-hole golf course designed by David McLay Kidd with the clubhouse by 2011 Pritzker Prize-winning architect, Eduardo Souto de Moura.
An upscale residential estate of 51 luxury homes is being developed in partnership with the Herdade da Comporta and DC Residential, the German property developer.
AMANRESORTS are considered to be one of the finest luxury resort chains in the world, and have chosen Comporta Dunes as the location for their first property on the Iberian Peninsula.
This new AMANDUNA will join five other ÀMAN resorts in Europe and Asia-Minor including Le Melezin in France, Canal Grande in Italy, AMANZOE in Greece, Sveti Stefan in Montenegro and AMANRUYA in Turkey.
AMANDUNA at COMPORTA DUNES is close to the village of Carvalhal and Pego Beach, and will occupy approximately 10 hectares and offer 40 suites and other recreational facilities and will blend into the surrounding landscape, complementing its rich natural environment and unspoiled autochthonous vegetation.
The suites will be very spacious (approximately 135 square metres), and 20 will feature their own private swimming pools.
The Spa will occupy a total area of 2,000 square metres and will include six treatment rooms, a sauna, a gymnasium and a number of Hammams (Turkish baths).
The spa will offer a range of massages, scrubs, wraps and facials, as well as their signature spa journeys designed to pamper and rejuvenate.
The resort will also offer a Beach Club, providing refreshments and water sports equipment on the beach.
The new property in Comporta Dunes will consist of 36 ÀMAN Villas with an average floor area of 850 square metres and will be built over a total area of 36.5 hectares with the owners and guests having privileged access to the resort’s facilities and services.
COMPORTA DUNES RESORT – Golf Course and Clubhouse
In addition to the range of services and experiences offered, guests, residents and visitors to the Comporta Dunes Resort will also have at their disposal a championship level golf course which is set within a striking landscape of sand dunes and pine trees, with the golf course will offering enjoyment and challenges to players of all levels.
A distinctive feature of the course is its clubhouse, designed by Eduardo Souto de Moura, winner of the 2011 Pritzker Prize, considered the Nobel of architecture. Consisting of two storey’s on a gentle slope, the clubhouse will offer panoramic views over the 9th, 10th and 18th green.
COMPORTA DUNES RESORT LUXURY VILLAS
Herdade da Comporta in partnership with DC Residential (Dahler & Co. Group) the luxury real estate and tourism development company in Germany are to build a residential estate within Comporta Dunes.
The result will be 51 luxury villas ranging from 130 to 350 square metres, with construction beginning towards the end of 2013.
