Gomes Restaurant Comporta – Casa de Vinhos & Petiscos
Following the steps of its older sister, Gomes grocery store also known as ‘little Harrods’, Gomes Restaurant Comporta bets on high standard gourmet goods, mainly from Alentejo region.
‘Petiscos’ are like ‘tapas’, so what is best than after a day of unwinding at the beach to come to Comporta and share some impressive food, with a glass of wine or a cocktail in a delightful environment?
At Gomes Casa de Vinhos & Petiscos, you can discover some of the best handmade sausages, ham, cheese, bread, tuna and sardines preserves.
On the menu you can also find robust traditional dishes as iberico pork cheeks, bean stew and much more.
If you appreciate wine, you will find here some superb wines to go along with a perfect meal in Comporta.
This recent addition is right at the center of the village, in a square where you can eat alfresco at the terrace – in Summer don’t forget mosquito repellent.
On some afternoons you can enjoy live music too.
Talking about live music, at Fridays is Fado’s night.
You can dine listening to portuguese national music.
A special menu is created for these nights and booking is required.
5 p.m. to midnight
Except for Fado Nights it is not possible to book table, so the trick is to get there early
