Living in Comporta area for about 20 years now, Tó Zé and Isabelinha are a famous couple here and their restaurant Museu do Arroz, in an old rice storing warehouse restored, is almost an institution.
Honoring the regional food heritage Museu do Arroz Comporta choosed rice as the main ingredient for its dishes and married it with traditional sea flavors like razor clams, cod, cuttlefish, or more rustic elements as is the case with of the duck rice.
The stunning interior decor, with unique details, rivals only with the idyllic location on the rice fields (and so close to Comporta beach). The unobstructed view from the outdoor terrace is astonishing.
Museu do Arroz Comporta is a lounge restaurant so in addition to the dining-room there is a seating area near the bar, where tempting cocktails and sangria are served, before or after the meals. Some nights the space turns into a dance floor with invited DJs.
Despite above-average prices this is one of the most busy restaurants in Comporta, so it’s wise to book a table in advance.
